Maroon 5 just helped put together a free music playlist for you to download and we wanted to let you know about it.
A few weeks ago, they were hanging with a friend when they came up with an idea.
They said:
"Let's get a bunch of bands together and give away free music to people who pledge to vote.
Then after they pledge, we can send them some information that helps them find out everything they need to know about early voting, absentee voting or just finding their neighborhood polling location."
We contacted the people at Rock The Vote to help run the project, recruited some very talented artists to give away songs and launched the thing this morning.

Comprised of twenty-two separate musical products, 222 by First Act is the biggest line of signature musical products ever created for mass retail. ADAM FEATURED ON OBAMA COMPILATION Barack Obama's presidential campaign, which has inspired a multitude of songs by stars and amateurs alike, is now getting an official soundtrack.
"Yes We Can: Voices of a Grassroots Movement," which takes its title from an Obama campaign slogan, features Adam Levine, Kanye West, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder and others. It will be available for sale exclusively through Obama's campaign starting Friday - September 19th.
Proceeds from the CD ($24.99 for a digital download, $30 for a physical product) will help fund Obama's campaign until Nov. 4, Election Day, according Hidden Beach Recordings, which created the CD.
