Rozzi Crane and Matthew Morrison Signed to Adam Levine’s Label

Morrison’s Sophomore Record to be Released this Spring & Crane's Debut Record to be Released this Fall

LOS ANGELES, CA, FEBRUARY 9, 2012-- Maroon 5 frontman and Voice coach Adam Levine announced today that Matthew Morrison has signed to Levine’s 222 Records. The label is the next venture in the artist’s growing career, which has already seen great success in music and television. The label will release the sophomore album of Tony, Emmy and 2-time Golden Globe nominee Matthew Morrison, best known for his role as Will Schuester on Glee. The album is set to debut this spring.

In addition to his sophomore album, Morrison will next appear on the big screen starring opposite Cameron Diaz in Lionsgate's highly anticipated film, What to Expect when Expecting, which will be released on May 18, 2012. In addition to the film, Morrison will be starring alongside George Clooney and Jesse Tyler Ferguson in Dustin Lance Black’s play reading of 8 in Los Angeles on March 3rd. Morrison also directed his first episode of GLEE in December with their Christmas episode. Morrison studied musical theater, vocal performance and dance at New York University’s renowned Tisch School of the Arts. His big Broadway break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in the hit “Hairspray.” Morrison was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in “The Light in the Piazza,” and received a Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for “10 Million Miles.” He also starred in the Tony Winning revival of “South Pacific” at Lincoln Center Theater in New York.

Said Levine, “I am excited for everyone to hear Matthew’s forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release.”

Said Morrison on his upcoming work with Levine,“I am excited to be working on my next album with such an incredible singer, writer and producer as Adam Levine. Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together.”

The label's first signing is 20-year old pop-soul singer/songwriter Rozzi Crane, who is currently working on her debut studio album. The first single is slated for a Fall 2012 release. Crane is enrolled in USC’s elite Popular Music program and has toured with Don Henley, Sergio Mendes, and Frankie Valli singing backup vocals. She is scheduled to join Maroon 5 on tour during 2012-2013.

As the front man of GRAMMY Award-winning recording artist Maroon 5, Adam Levine has left an indelible mark on popular music. The primary songwriter for the band and a guitar player, Adam’s talents haven given Maroon 5 their signature sound and his heartfelt anthems have become part of the fabric of popular music. Maroon 5 has won three Grammy Awards and sold more than 17 million albums. The band's releases have also gone gold and platinum in over 35 countries. With the recent success of Maroon 5's global smash platinum single “Moves Like Jagger,” Adam Levine became the first artist in Billboard's Hot 100 chart's 53-year history to reach #1 as part of a group and enter the Top 10 at the same time as a soloist, as he is also featured on Gym Class Heroes’ “Stereo Hearts." Adam Levine has also collaborated with various musical acts including Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Slash and K'Naan.

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 8, 2011) — Golf Channel’s hit original series, The Haney Project, returns Feb. 27 at 9 p.m. ET for a one-hour special premiere episode of the highly anticipated fourth season with an all-new twist: not just one, but four celebrity projects willing to expose their golf games to a national television audience for the chance at improving under the guidance of Hank Haney, one of the world’s most-renowned instructors.

The Haney Project moves to a new night, shifting to the 9 p.m. ET Monday timeslot where it will precede a new season of Feherty (10 p.m. ET) to form a potent, Monday primetime lineup. This year’s eight-part series will follow a lineup of four celebrities from all different walks of life that will rely on Haney’s tutelage to lower their scores. Haney has coached some of the most notable names in golf – including Tiger Woods – for more than 35 years, and also has built golf facilities and player academies across the globe.

The Haney Project has been a critical and ratings success for Golf Channel. The first season, which starred Charles Barkley, marked the highest-rated launch of an original series at that time. Subsequent seasons featured actor Ray Romano and conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh.

The Haney Project will star Grammy Award-winning Maroon 5 front man and mentor on NBC’s The Voice Adam Levine, legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, acclaimed chef Mario Batali and former super model Angie Everhart. The star-studded season will follow the celebrities through the trials and tribulations of becoming the next great celebrity golfer, leading up to an ultimate showdown in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where the famous foursome will compete against each other for the chance to win $100,000 for the charity of their choice.

“This year we get to do something completely different with some amazing names,” said Haney. “These four celebrities are at the top of their respected fields. They know the hard work and dedication needed to be the best, whether it’s acting, music, sports or cooking. They all have the drive and determination to win. This will be the biggest Project yet.”

Each episode will follow all four celebrities on their quests to play better golf, and Haney will be their ticket to improvement. Whether it’s one-on-one instruction on the golf course or developing lessons they can practice on their own, his watchful eye will never be far away. The series also will showcase the celebrities in their own environments and a smattering of cameos by famous friends and other experts who check in on them along the way.

Monday, February 6, 2012 – The David Lynch Foundation announced plans to release the physical version of DOWNLOAD FOR GOOD: MUSIC THAT CHANGES THE WORLD as a SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION BOX SET to celebrate Record Store Day, Saturday April 21, 2012.

The MUSIC THAT CHANGES THE WORLD, SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION BOX SET boasts performances from 34 top musical artists spanning Pop, Latin, Electronic, Rock, World, Indie, Hip-hop, and Classical who have come together to express their support for the foundation and its visionary director. Artists include Donovan, Alanis Morissette, Tom Waits, Amanda Palmer, Ben Folds, Iggy Pop, Maroon 5, Neon Trees, Dave Stewart, and more.

The book is illustrated by Romio Shrestha, who has been called “a modern master of the Indo-Nepali-Tibetan Buddhist traditions of enlightenment art,” and New Jersey artist Davel Hamue. All songs were re-mastered for this project by Gavin Lurssen and Reuben Cohen from Lurssen Mastering. Cohen is a Latin Grammy award-winner who has mastered such artists as Snoop Dogg, Sean Kingston, Common, The Cranberries, Dev, Rob Zombie, and Ingrid Michaelson.

The MUSIC THAT CHANGES THE WORLD, SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION will also include a digital version of “Meditation, Creativity, Peace”, a compelling new documentary film featuring exclusive, candid footage from David Lynch’s 16-country tour around the world when he spoke to government leaders, film students, and the press during 2007 and 2008. The David Lynch Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 2005 to fund the implementation of scientifically proven stress-reducing modalities including Transcendental Meditation, for at-risk populations such as underserved inner-city students; veterans with PTSD and their families; American Indians suffering from diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and high suicide rates; homeless men participating in reentry programs striving to overcome addictions; and incarcerated juveniles and adults.
