MAROON 5 TO PERFORM AT THE MTV “VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS” FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER LIVE FROM THE FORUM IN INGLEWOOD, CA ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 24 AT 9:00 P.M. ET/PT

New York, NY (August 6, 2014) – Adding to the rapidly growing list of not-to-be-missed live musical performances, MTV today announced that superstar rock band, Maroon 5, will make their debut #VMA performance during the 2014 “MTV Video Music Awards” LIVE from The Forum in

Inglewood, CA on Sunday, August 24 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Maroon 5 joins previously announced 2014 “MTV Video Music Award” performers Usher, Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds of Summer. Additional VMA performers and presenters to be announced at a later date.

"We are so excited about our upcoming new album and to be part of the great VMA lineup this year. It is our first time doing the show and we are thrilled to be on it performing our new single," said Adam Levine.

Surrounded by thousands of fans, Maroon 5 will thrill viewers from a special VMA stage, presented by the Kia Soul, with a live rendition of a single off their upcoming fifth studio album, V. On September 2, 2014, Interscope Records will release V – the new album by Maroon 5. True to its title, V 
represents the fifth full-length studio effort from the Grammy Award winning superstar band. Considering that career benchmark, Maroon 5’s latest provides a sonic summation of the group’s journey to date – capturing the essence of the earliest M5 hits through to their most recent successes, as well as providing a picture of its artistic growth into the future.
